Pierre Saint-Sorny first studied at the Royal Academy in Brussels (1932-1933) and, subsequently, at the Académie des Beaux Arts in Mons (1934-1935) where he received the Grand Prize for Design. In 1946, he resumed his studies at the Académie de Namur where he was awarded the Sculpture Prize. In 1950, he moved to Paris to attend the Académie de la Grande Chaumière which he followed with a period of study at the Centre de l'Expressionisme in Flanders.
Over the course of a long and successful career, Saint-Sorny exhibited widely at numerous solo and group exhibitions including at the Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris and was also appointed a member of the jury at the Academie de Namur.
