Jonathan Scott studied first at the Heatherly School in London and later in Munich, at the Accademia di Bella Arti in Florence and the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles. He exhibited widely both in England and the United States, including at the New English Art Club in London and the Los Angeles Museum of Art, receiving numerous awards and prizes. He was a member of the Laguna Beach Art Association, the Taos Art Association, and the American Watercolour Society. His work is held in the permanent collection at the Pasadena Art Museum. We are pleased to offer this charming work in which the artist has perfectly captured the stillness of a tranquil harbor scene. This painting was formerly in the collection of the eminent art historian Nancy Moure.
