Andre Firmin Regagnon first studied with Jules Adler and, from 1926, exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français where he received an honorable mention (1929), a silver medal (1930), and gold medal (1931). In 1933, he was awarded the Prix National and, in 1937, a Silver Medal at the Exposition Internationale. A notable mid-century painter of genre scenes and figurative works, Regagnon exhibited widely and with success and was the recipient of numerous prizes and juried awards. The artist is well-listed in all relevant art reference works.
