A finely-painted, whimsical study of the interior of a milliner's shop with a woman seated before a mirror and trying on hats with and various attendants assisting her while a seated man puffs contentedly on a cigar. A rare work and exceptional by this mid-century Belgian woman artist who was born in Antwerp in 1934 and painted during the 1960's and 1970's.
