A substantial Mid-Century Post-Impressionist-style still-life showing a carafe and a bowl of fruit arranged on a table. An elegant composition with bravura brushwork and great delicacy of palette. Hodson attended the Herron School of Art in Indian where he received a BFA in 1947. He was a member of the Hoosier Salon, a long standing artist collective known for offering one of the richest purses in the United States.
