Born in 1891, this giant of twentieth-century American letters was also a prolific artist who, prior to his popular literary recognition, lived for many years from the sale of his artwork. The author of several books on painting, Miller considered no day complete without time spent at his easel and he would frequently switch back and forth between his creative endeavors. We are pleased to offer this vibrant example of Henry Miller’s work dating from his period in Big Sur, California.
